The Bismarck Demons got a pair of second period goals to send the Detroit Lakes boys hockey team to a fourth straight defeat 2-1 at Kent Freeman Arena Saturday afternoon.
Chase Fuhrman scored an unassisted, power play goal at 15:18 to give the Demons a 1-0 lead.
Zachary Schmidt and Joseph Heinert set up Grayden Stone on an even strength game-winner less than two minutes later.
The Demons held the lead into the final minute of the game when Jackson Carlblom scored with goalie Blake Itzen pulled to cut the lead in half at 16:40.
Bismarck won the center ice faceoff and ragged the puck to close out the win.
Quinn Ackerman stopped 14 DL shots to earn the victory in net.
Itzen made 21 saves.
Bismarck improved to 3-0 on the season. Carlblom’s goal was the first allowed by the Demons this season.
The Lakers fall to 0-4 and head to Pequot Lakes to face Northern Lakes (1-0) in the first road game of the season and the Mid-State Conference opener Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m.
