PERHAM — Park Rapids forfeited four of the first five matches and dug a hole the Panthers would never see daylight from in a blowout 69-3 loss to No. 10-AA Perham.

Ben Nelson (120) won a 4-2 decision over Jared Sunram in a battle of freshman for the only match that was not forfeit of the first five.

Perham’s lead was 27-0 by the time Gage Paurus and the Panthers’ Logan Johnson took the mat at 138 pounds. Johnson scored the only points for Park Rapids with a 6-2 decision.

Perham got decision wins from Dylan Perrine (145), Colin Neitzke (152) and Jake Monson (160), and pins from Cole Schmitz (170), Jesse Klatt 195), Trent Jahnke (220) and Jesse Bucholz (Hwt).

William Parks received the fifth forfeit at 182 pounds. Parks is ranked No. 7.

Perham will return to the mat Saturday at the Frazee Invitational.
