GBB: Patriots run away from Yellowjackets 73-39

PERHAM — Vanessa Lane recorded a double-double as Pequot Lakes ran away from Perham 73-39 in a non-conference girls basketball game Thursday evening.

Lane scored 17 points to go with 11 rebounds to lead the Patriots who had four players score in double figures.

Katie White had 16 points and seven rebounds; Kayla Miller scored 13 points and Caitie Ryan had 11.

The Patriots led big at the halftime break 41-19 after breaking the game open in the final five minutes of the first half. Up 13 points at 28-15 with 4:50 to play, the Patriots went on a 13-4 run to close out the half.

The Pequot Lakes lead eclipsed 35 points in the second half creating running time late in the game.

Ella Von Ruden led Perham with eight points. Brittany Miller had seven.

Perham (4-6) will host Hawley (3-4) Thursday, Jan. 9. Pequot Lakes (6-3) will travel to face Esko (6-1).
