The Richville Rockets, Lakes Area Little League regular season champions, kept to their winning ways sitting atop the playoffs bracket awaiting all comers.

They would win the tournament 4-0 over the Perham Twins.

Teams from Dent, Wadena and New York Mills had long days ahead of them, in humid heat, if they wanted to move through the brackets to challenge the Rockets.

Both the NY Mills Mets and Blue Sox advanced out of the first round taking out Dent and the Wadena Gold respectively.

The Blue Sox ran into a hot hitting Perham Rockies club in the second round falling behind early and never recovering to be bumped 6-1. The Rockies pitching staff combined to strike out 11 Blue Sox to keep the offense at bay.

The Rockies put on another hitting display against Wadena Blue. The teams had faced off recently ending in a 1-0 Rockies victory.

This game was a bit different. Led by a towering home run from Chase Curtis, the Rockies used two big innings to defeat Wadena 9-1.

The Perham Twins qualified in the winner's bracket but had to face the 10-2 Rockets and met their fate at the hands of Richville losing twice to the Rockets 7-2 and 4-0 in the season finale.
