The first ‘Ride for the Future’ was hosted by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Detroit Lakes and Perham last summer, drawing a total of 15 bikes and 25 riders. The 2nd annual event is set for Saturday, July 13 at 11:30 a.m., with registration and check-in to take place at the Detroit Lakes Pavilion starting at 10:30 a.m. SUBMITTED PHOTO

The fellowship hall at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church was packed full of well-wishers on Sunday afternoon. They were there to thank and congratulate longtime school principal and teacher, Bonnie Stohs. Stohs is retiring after 15 years at St. Paul’s School.
