Bonnie Tweeton, pictured here in full makeup and costume before Sunday’s performance of “HONK!,” has been the art director for Perham’s community musicals since 1994. The Perham artist is also known for her stained glass work, found at Perham Health (such as the piece pictured below left), St. Paul’s Church and other locations around town.

The first ‘Ride for the Future’ was hosted by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Detroit Lakes and Perham last summer, drawing a total of 15 bikes and 25 riders. The 2nd annual event is set for Saturday, July 13 at 11:30 a.m., with registration and check-in to take place at the Detroit Lakes Pavilion starting at 10:30 a.m. SUBMITTED PHOTO
