Jeremy Lehi Labbe, 38, of Frazee has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony third-degree controlled substance crime and felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime.
Lindsay Ann Tibbetts, 26, of Frazee, has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime. According to court records, on Jan. 31, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at a Becker County residence. In a purse, they found three plastic baggies containing a total of 1.6 grams of meth (with packaging). Tibbetts allegedly admitted ownership of the meth.
MOORHEAD, Minn. - A Moorhead resident sitting in a recliner at home was hit when a pickup came smashing into the room. The Moorhead Fire Department said around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, a medical condition caused a driver to lose consciousness in a neighborhood south of The Meadows golf course. The pickup hit what's described as a den area of the home.
A Frazee man has been sentenced to 17 months in prison for causing a two-car collision that injured several people. Charles KC Hughes Jr., 23, of 510 S. Lake St., Frazee has been sentenced in Becker County District Court on a felony count of criminal vehicular operation - substantial bodily harm. A second identical charge was dismissed in a plea agreement. Two gross misdemeanor DWI charges were also dropped.
DEER CREEK, Minn. – A 2-year-old boy is the only survivor of a head-on car crash Sunday afternoon, Feb. 5, that killed two drivers near here in Otter Tail County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The boy, who’s from Wadena, was hospitalized after the crash, but his injuries were not life-threatening, the patrol said. The crash happened about 3:18 p.m. on state Highway 29 two miles east of Deer Creek, southwest of Wadena.
Jason Everett Jensen, 31, of Moorhead, has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime. According to court records, on Dec. 15 he was arrested by deputies on a warrant at a residence on Pickerel Road N.E. A black tin was allegedly found in his possession, containing two hypodermic needles and 5.9 grams of methamphetamines.
Benjamin Phillip Buckley, age 33, of Leek Lake Drive in Vergas, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime. According to court records, he was pulled over on Highway 59 on Christmas Day of 2015 after complaints about an erratic driver. A small Ziploc baggie of meth was found floating in a large glass of liquid on the center console.
Miranda June Sweet, age 34, of Perham, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony domestic assault. A gross misdemeanor charge of obstructing the legal process was dismissed in a plea agreement. According to court records, in Detroit Lakes on Sept. 29, 2015, Sweet got into an altercation with her mother, who suffered broken glasses and a skinned knee. Sweet was arrested and was disruptive during the booking process at the Becker County Jail.
WILLMAR, Minn. — A semi carrying 850 full-grown turkeys tipped over Monday morning on Kandiyohi County Road 5 north of Willmar. The driver, 39-year-old Edgardo Diaz, of Montevideo, was not hurt. But nearly six hours after the 7 a.m. crash, crews were still on the scene removing dead and injured birds. Some turkeys were not injured and were loaded into another truck. According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened when Diaz attempted to turn south onto Kandiyohi County Road 25 from Kandiyohi County Road 5.
Josue Ezequiel Salguero, 21, of 357 Pine Cone Park, Perham, has been charged in Becker County District Court with two felony counts of fifth-degree controlled substance crime and one felony count of possession of a pistol without a permit. According to court records, on Dec. 31, a state trooper pulled him over for weaving within his lane on Highway 10 in Becker County.
