COTTAGE GROVE, Minn - A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a water tanker truck Tuesday afternoon in Washington County, authorities said. The motorcycle and water tanker truck collided shortly after 3 p.m. at 110th Street and Nyberg Avenue, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The intersection is west of St. Croix Trail, where crews were repaving the roadway. The identity of the victim was not released.
BARNESVILLE, Minn. – One man has been taken to the hospital after a semi and a car collided with a moose near Barnesville Wednesday morning. Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow said the crash happened on Interstate 94 near Barnesville shortly before 5 a.m. A semi hit the moose, and then a car heading in the same direction struck the animal as it was lying in the roadway. One driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. The moose was killed.
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. -- The murder trial of a Fergus Falls man accused of killing his nephew is scheduled to begin today with jury selection. Michael Alan Burris is accused of murdering his nephew, Scott Burris, who died from a single gunshot wound in May 2012. His, son, Michael Kyle Burris, admitted to helping his father, dispose of his cousin’s dead body in May of 2012. The 24-year-old Burris pleaded guilty in August to aiding an offender-accomplice after the fact of murder.
