FARGO – The wreckage of a single-engine plane piloted by the son of Forum columnist Curtis Eriksmoen has been found in Greenland after a weeklong search, according to a news outlet there. The remains of the plane and its pilot, Paul Eriksmoen, were located Wednesday on the island of Kulusuk, on Greenland’s eastern coast, near the airport where he was expected to land Sept.
WILLMAR, Minn. –– A Willmar man is dead after a two-vehicle crash Monday in Renville County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Carl P. Rowan, 24, died when the 2013 Ford pickup he was driving collided with a 2012 Peterbilt semi. The crash was reported at 5:11 p.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 71 south of Olivia.
FULDA, Minn. -- Two people are dead after a broadside crash Sunday afternoon in southwest Minnesota. Kristen Boynton, 24, of Perry, Ga., was the passenger in a 2005 Chevy Impala driven by Charles Goode, 24, of Lewisville, N.C. Boynton was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene at the intersection of Murray County 3 and U.S. 59, north of Fulda.
FARGO, N.D. – The son of Forum columnist Curtis Eriksmoen has not been heard from since Thursday when the plane he was piloting apparently crashed on the way to Greenland. Paul Eriksmoen, 34, of Shelton, Wash., was flying alone from Iceland to Greenland and reported that the plane was having engine trouble before the crash, said his father, who writes a column about North Dakota history.

FARGO – A 30-year-old man drove onto the Fargo Country Club golf course before he was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday evening, police said. No one was hurt, and there appeared to be no damage to the golf course, Fargo Police Sgt. Shawn Gamradt said. After investigating, it appeared that Adam Bennett Phelps entered the golf course from 5th Street S.
A Frazee man has been sentenced for assaulting his live-in girlfriend and her mother. Troy Jon Biegler, 30, was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison, which was stayed for five years. He was instead given 105 days in the Becker County Jail, all of which has already been served.
A rural Ogema woman accused of killing her boyfriend waived her right to a speedy trial Tuesday in Becker County District Court. Jessica Marie Kilde, 33, faces felony charges of second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter in the death of Richard Allen Baity, 41, also of rural Ogema.
