Paisley Lane is bringing a little bit of country to downtown Perham.

The clothing and home décor store, owned by Stephanie Ellingson, is located between Bretz Hardware Co. and the Back Porch.

Paisley Lane opened last spring in Ottertail. Ellingson has since closed the Ottertail store and relocated the business to Perham’s downtown. She also owns Periwinkle Marketplace in Ottertail, The Bric in Fergus Falls and The Grain Bin in Wahpeton, N.D.

Paisley Lane took over the former Refreshing Designs location because, according to Ellingson, “the space is perfect for a fashion boutique.”

The store set-up is different in Perham than it was at the store in Ottertail, said Michelle Honer, store manager.

“I like that we still have a little bit of home décor stuff,” Honer said, “like little knick-knack type gifts for everyone, so I think if you’re not just looking for clothing there’s still stuff here for you.”

When Paisley Lane was open in Ottertail the store had vendors and co-signers, but the Perham location focuses on relaxed-style lake country fashions, and also features some antiques and home décor items.

Décor Hus has opened in the former Paisley Lane store in Ottertail.

Paisley Lane employees hosted a preview day prior to opening day March 24. Brew Ales and Eats served snacks and beverages while people checked out the new space and merchandise.

“It went very, very well,” Honer said. “I was really satisfied with the number of friends and family that came in and supported us.”

Paisley Lane will host a fashion show, “Boots, Beer, and Bangles,” from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at Thumper Pond in Ottertail. The runway show will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Organized by Stephanie Ellingson, Sharri Martyn, Melissa Hoffman and Michelle Honer, the event will showcase fashions from Ellingson’s four stores.

Paisley Lane is open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The store will also be open Sundays noon to 4 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
