Perham Living makes U.S. News & World Report's list of Best Nursing Homes for 2017-18
U.S. News & World Report listed Perham Living to its Best Nursing Homes for 2017-18. The reporting agency evaluated more than 15,000 nursing homes nationwide. Perham Living is one of nearly 2,300 nursing homes earning the designation of a U.S. News Best Nursing Home.
Since its inception in 2009, the U.S. News nursing home ratings have relied on data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that sets and enforces standards for nursing homes. In 2017, U.S. News created a 5-level rating scale for nursing homes, ranging from "Top Performing" to "Poor" in order to provide an evaluation standard for consumers consistent with its other health ratings. Perham Living received the "Top Performing" rating.
"We are extremely proud to be named to the list of top nursing homes in the country for the second year in a row," said Tracy Hendrickx, Vice President of Long Term Care. "This recognition is a demonstration of the incredible care provided by our frontline staff each and every day. Their commitment to our residents and their families are the key to making Perham Living a great place to live and work."
The U.S. News and World Report rating system is intended to provide consumers with comprehensive information about care, safety, health inspections, staffing and more to make informed decisions regarding this important life decision.
