New salon located in the Blue Sky Building

A team of workers are learning together at Revive Salon Spa in Perham. Going to seminars on Aveda products and training each other on what they learned from the seminars.

Missy Lubitz and Sarah Crook are co-owners of the new salon Revive Salon Spa, located in the Blue Sky Building by Subway in Perham.

Workers at the Revive Salon Spa want their clients to feel the experience right away, "so that you're relaxed, you feel pampered from the start to the end the minute you walk into the door, you should have great experience," said Crook.

Lubitz and Crook have worked together for approximately two years. They have 40-some years of experience between them,according to Crook.

Revive Salon Spa feature beauty products from Aveda. The company is based in Minneapolis, Minn., and the products are all natural.

"They're all about the earth, environmentally-friendly, their manufacturer is all wind power so they are all about the earth" said Crook.

Lubitz and Crook go as a team with the rest of the salon employees to attend classes on the Aveda products.

"If we go to a class, we go as a team, so we can have that experience together," said Sarah. "And we're all talking with each other about our class and what we learned," said Lubitz.

The salon is a very open place and the employers can talk with each other, but yet still be one-on-one with the client.

Revive Salon Spa offers a variety of services for a clients including haircuts, color services, treatments, massages, wax, sugaring, nail care, skin care, and many more options.

With the help from the front desk staff, the salon went live with a web page in early March, when the business opened. The site features pictures of the stylists' work, future events,

The business is getting the word out about its services in a number of ways.

"We advertised in the newspaper, even got asked to be in the Chamber of Commerce commercial" said Crook.

Many of the clients for Revive Salon Spa are not only Perham residents, either.

"We have clients from Frazee, Detroit Lakes, Wadena, West Fargo and Fargo" said Lubitz.

Revive Salon Spa is open Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Fridays 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturdays 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

An open house is planned Friday, May 13, from 4 -7 p.m. that will highlight the salon's services, such as complimentary chair massages and a dessert bar from Whisk From Scratch.
