Otter Tail Power Company says it is working to set up payment arrangements with customers who may be having difficulty paying their electric service bills during the COVID-19 outbreak.
“No matter what, we’ll continue to provide the essential electric service that our customers depend on,” said Tim Rogelstad, Otter Tail Power Company president and Pelican Rapids native. “If you’re facing financial hardships due to this pandemic, we’re here to help.”
Rogelstad, as noted on the company website, says that Otter Tail Power Company will always put the health and safety of its employees, customers and communities first.
Otter Tail Power Company is temporarily suspending disconnects for late payments and is waiving late-payment fees for residential and small-business customers.
Customers who want to discuss electric service payment arrangements can contact Otter Tail Power Company at 800-257-4044 during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

The company also has several payment options, including ePay electronic payments and the Ready Check automatic payment program.

“Through it all, we’ll continue our critical maintenance and construction work to maintain the stability of our electric grid here in Otter Tail County and throughout our entire service area,” Rogelstad said.
