Perham grad honored with Nurse of the Year award

Jessica (Meyer) Thoma, a 1999 graduate of Perham High School, was honored as with the 2019 March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award, Education & Research category, at an event Oct. 25 in the Twin Cities.

The March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Awards celebrates the health care community in recognizing nursing excellence and achievements in research, education, quality patient care, innovation and leadership, according to a news release. More than 300 nominations were made to the March of Dimes this year.

Thoma is a nurse with CentraCare Health in St. Cloud. She is the daughter of Yvonna and the late David Meyer of Perham.
