Adele Lausten, Linda Moore and Rhonda Koehler are three special registered nurses with one thing in common.
Their kind hearts and gentle nature.
Combined, the three have 57 years of extensive home care and medical experience, along with a caring mindset and gentle hand.
Lausten and Koehler are from the New York Mills and Perham area, while Moore is from Henning/Battle Lake.
Opening Lake Country Home Care (LCHC) in New York Mills in July of 2009 was a natural fit for the three.

The idea came because surrounding hospital based home cares were discontinuing their homemaking services, resulting in several area clients looking for agencies to continue their services.
"We felt we needed to start a new agency to fill the void," says Lausten.
LCHC currently has close to 100 clients and their numbers grow by the day thanks to the heartfelt and nurturing reputation of the business and their staff.
"Working in homecare is the most amazing, satisfying, and rewarding job," Kohler says. "Everybody wants to be in their home and they deserve it."
The mantra for their business is simple. At LCHC, they know how important it is for their clients to maintain health and everyday living while staying in their own homes.
The LCHC staff is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care in a professional and caring manner, while treating each of their clients as if they were members of their own family with the dignity and respect they deserve.
"After awhile, it's not just anybody coming into their homes, we are considered friends and family," Moore says with the sense of tender care in her voice that represents the three of them as a whole.
LCHC accommodates a large service area in Central Minnesota including, but not limited to, Otter Tail, Wadena and Todd Counties.

Home care services offered by LCHC include companionship, homemaking, meal preparation, grocery shopping, personal cares, laundry, mobility, transfers and positioning, light housekeeping, PCA services, and custom care.
In preparation for their starting date last year, they hired several aides who have extensive experience in home care. "Since then we have hired additional new employees, totaling 23 at this time," Lausten says.
Staff members are individually selected by the management team based on experience, integrity and reliability. The caring paraprofessionals at LCHC are specifically trained to care for clients of all ages
"Our staff are from every corner of the three county service area," Lausten says. "We service geriatric, adult, and pediatric clients. We accept private long-term care insurance, workman's comp, Medical Assistance, and private pay. We also work under Elderly Waiver, Alternative Care and CADI."
As their positive reputation continues to grow, the entire staff at LCHC are looking to the future with a sense of duty, kindness, and love in their hearts for their clients who deserve dignity as well as their own homes.
