4th annual Empowering Kids golf tournament scheduled for June 11 in Perham

This tournament will include a nine-hole golf scramble and a beanbag tournament for non-golfers. Below are details on the event.

Looking for something fun to do with the kids? On Friday, June 11, at the Lakeside Golf Course, you'll be able to attend the 4th annual Empowering Kids golf tournament.

This tournament will include a nine-hole golf scramble and a beanbag tournament for non-golfers.

Details on the event are as follows.

9-Hole Golf Scramble (4-person teams):

  • Fee: $100 per person which includes golf, a cart, snacks, dinner and a drink ticket.
  • Prizes: 1st place - $300 to Pro Shop, 2nd place - $200 to Pro Shop, 3rd place - $100 to Pro Shop
  • Check-In: 4 p.m.
  • Shotgun Start: 5 p.m.

Bean Bag Tournament (2-person teams):

  • Fee: $50 per person which includes the entry fee, snacks, dinner and a drink ticket
  • Tournament Plays: Round robin and bracketed
  • Prizes: 1st place - $150 in cash, 2nd place - $100 in cash
  • Check-In: 3 p.m.
  • Begins: 3:15 p.m.

Sponsorships opportunities also are available.
Fees for spectators are $30. Dinner and awards will be at 7 p.m.

All funds raised at this tournament will be used to purchase equipment, supplies, furniture and curriculum for a newly renovated space designed specifically for autistic individuals and individuals with other social challenges.
