Climate scientist Mark Seeley will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at the Center for the Arts in Fergus Falls.
Seeley was as a faculty member at the University of Minnesota for 30 years, according to a news release. His area of expertise was the relationship between climate and agriculture. Seeley writes Minnesota WeatherTalk, a weekly online newsletter, and provides weekly commentary on "Morning Edition." He has won numerous awards, and has published two books, according to the release.
There will be a Q&A session after the talk, and Seeley's books will be available for purchase and to have signed.
This free event was organized by Battle Lake Community Conversation Forum, with partial funding from West Central Initiative and Unitarian Church of Underwood, according to the release.
