There were a few raindrops and also some eggs falling to the ground Saturday.
Perham's Cub Scout Pack 321 enjoyed an egg drop on a rainy morning Sept. 26. Pack Leader Nick Murdock said the event had nearly 40 participants and 75% of the eggs survived the drop.
The event started at 9 a.m. as excited scouts and their siblings participating in the egg drop gathered in Arvig Park.
Each participant built a protection device to keep their egg from breaking. Murdock said once they had all the eggs in their protection devices that he would take them up in the helicopter and push them out of the window in the field.
The helicopter used for the egg drop was provided and piloted by Mike Larson, owner of Larson Helicopters.
