The Annual Angel of Hope Candlelight Vigil, which is always observed on Dec. 6, will be modified this year because of COVID-19. Weather permitting, there will be candles available at the Angel of Hope Park, and music from 5:30- 7:30 p.m.

The Angel of Hope Park is at the corner of Third Avenue and Sixth Avenue Northeast in Perham. Angel of Hope invites everyone to bring a white flower to lay at the base of the Angel, and or a Christmas ornament to place on the evergreen trees behind the statue.

Angel of Hope request that masks be worn, and social distancing practiced. There will not be the usual fellowship and refreshments time at Crosspoint Alliance, but the church will be open if anyone needs a warm place to go, or is in need of restrooms, as long as COVID-19 safety measures are followed. Crosspoint Alliance Church is located at 600 Eighth St. Northeast, across the street from the park.

Richard Paul Evans will be doing a Facebook Live chat at 8 that evening. Information will be on his website, at richardpaulevans.com.

Sunday, Dec. 13, is the Compassionate Friends Worldwide candle lighting at 7 p.m.
