The Annual Angel of Hope Candlelight Vigil, which would have been observed on Dec. 6, has been canceled in light of the governer's latest restrictions on social gatherings.

Brenda Thompson, one of the organizers of the Angel of Hope Vigil, said in an email to the Focus the decision to cancel this year's vigil was made by the Angel of Hope Memorial Park committee.

Thompson said, Angel of Hope still invites families to bring a white flower to lay at the base of the angel statue or a Christmas ornament to place on the evergreen trees behind the statue in memorial to their lost loved one.

The Angel of Hope Park is at the corner of Third Avenue and Sixth Avenue Northest in Perham.
