A Perham holiday staple is returning to the city streets this season. The 21st Annual Holiday Parade of Lights will start at 5:30 p.m. by St. Paul's Lutheran Church — located at 500 Sixth Avenue S.W. — on Friday, Nov. 26.

Floats decorated in colorful lights will file through town, passing out candy and other holiday items to the crowd.

While there's no theme for this year's parade, participants will decorate their floats with Christmas or winter themes and play holiday music. Entered floats are judged on their lights, holiday spirt and creativity. Three winners will be awarded trophies for First Place (Santa's Choice), Second Place (Mrs. Claus' choice) and Third Place (Elves' Choice).

Entries are free and must be received by Nov. 23. Float entry forms and more information can be found at perham.com/parade-of-lights or by contacting Tyler Krumwiede at t_krumwiede@hotmail.com or 218-579-0936.
