A free theater event is coming to Ottertail City Park on Saturday, June 12 at 7 p.m. This play, "Choo-Choo Chicanery," will be performed by the Fergus Falls Funtastics Theatre Troupe.

It follows a story on board a late 1800s train: Barton Balderdash will try to gain control of the Otter Tail Valley Railroad, while detective Ted Trustworthy tries to stop him. Both fall in love with passenger Modesty Faithful along the way.

An FM tuner will be available for anyone to listen to the play from their car. Otherwise, attendees are welcome to bring a lawn chair to watch. Pop, water and popcorn will also be available. The first 100 attendees will be given a wooden trail whistle.

This performance of "Choo-Choo Chicanery" is sponsored by Ottertail Business and Community Association, Ottertail Lions, Boll Realty, All Seasons, Rusty Anchor, Periwinkle, Precision Landscaping, Betty's Pantry, First National Bank, Mama J's Closet, Hilltop Lumber, Ottertail Bakery, Olson Tire, Tri-County Health Care, Carr's Tree Service, Ottertail Aggregate and Geo-Direct.
