Starting at 1 p.m. Jan. 3 the Snowmobile Safety Course will be given at the 4-H Building and Fairgrounds in Perham. Students who pass the written test may then take a Snowmobile Operator Performance Test. Those who wish to bring their own snowmobile may do so. Those who complete both tests will be required to pay a $2 fee to have their names submitted to the Commissioner of Conservation so that they can be issued a Snowmobile Safety Permit.
The 13 lucky winners of the recent Chamber of Commerce Christmas Promotion are: Frank Roschke, Arlene Boedigheimer, Art Carow, Mrs. H.S. Schmidt, Stan Wielinski, Carl Hinz, June Kaminiski, Mrs. Carl Schmidt, Bud Westhoff, Gotlieb Janke, Bea Henn, all of Perham;, Mrs. Denis Hein, Richville; and Gib Bachmann, Frazee. Each winner received $100, said Chamber President Bill Hughes.
Visitors from Minneapolis
Mary Hofmann’s son James Hofmann, of Minneapolis, and his family visited her home for a couple of days before Christmas. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hofmann and their family joined the visitors at the home of Mrs. Mary Hofmann for dinner to celebrate the birthday of Mr. James Hofmann.

The Perham State Bank has earned another five-star rating. Perham State Bank has continuously earned a five-star rating since June 1, 1990. The announcement on the banks’ rating was made by Bauer Finacial Reports Inc., a Coral Gables, Fla., nationally recognized bank research firm.
Toast the Night
Stream’s Steakhouse invites you to come to dance the night away starting at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31. Enjoy free hor d'oeuvres, champagne and party hats. The dining room special is from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Court St. Rita Catholic Daughters would like to announce the winners from their most recent raffle. The Catholic Daughters would congratulate those winners and thank all those who bought raffle tickets. Theresa DiBrito won the Country Angel, Margaret Huabsch won the hardanger doily, and Ruth Dietz won the nativity set.
