A visit to Washington
Mrs. Shirly Olson and Mrs. Mary Jane Knuttila of Perham were in attendance at the conference in Washington, D.C., relating to the Head Start Program of the Office of Economic Opportunity. During their visit, the two Perham women called on Minnesota Congressman Odin Langen in his Capitol Hill office.
Gerald Duane Heimen, age 25, was killed in a rollover accident off of Highway 10 in Otter Tail County. The accident occurred about half a mile east of Bluffton. The county sheriff, who assisted highway patrol with the accident, said two motorists witnessed the accident and notified authorities. Heimen was the only one involved in the accident that caused the vehicle he was driving to roll.
