Spend your summer in the Garden with the U of M!
First through third graders are invited to sign up for the 4-H Children's Garden. Fourth through sixth graders can take on the challenge of becoming a Junior Master Gardener.
Young gardeners will plan, plant, care for and harvest a garden plot at the Perham
Fairgrounds. Both gardens are located on the fairgrounds in Perham.
The University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardeners, Extension staff, and community volunteers assist and educate youth in the gardening experience.

Along with learning gardening skills, leadership and positive citizenship through engaging hands on activities, youth will also be educated in healthy eating habits.
Garden Schedule (Fridays):
May 26-5 to 7 p.m. - Garden planting
June 3 and 17 - 9:30 a.m. to noon
July 8, 15 and 29 - 9:30 a.m. to noon
Aug. 7 - 9:30 a.m. to noon
Aug. 12 - 9:30 a.m. to noon - Dinner from Dirt celebration
Cost: $25; Family Maximum: $50 (Checks may be made out to 4-H Children's Garden)

The 4-H Children's Garden is limited to 20 youth; the Jr. Master Garden Program is limited to 10 youth.
