This Saturday, April 12 at 6 p.m., Northwoods Assembly in Perham will host a Seder meal called “Christ in the Passover.”

The Passover Seder is a Jewish ritual feast that marks the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Passover. Rabbi Steve Barack from Chicago will be leading the Seder at Northwoods.

Barack is a believer in Jesus and is known as a Messianic Rabbi. He will also be speaking at the church on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.

The Seder is observed by Jewish homes every year, commemorating the night that God delivered the children of Israel from Egypt. In the Christian tradition, it is also known as the “Last Supper” that Jesus shared with his disciples.

“Christ in the Passover” will be a full meal, complete with teaching that sheds light on the origins of Holy Communion and many of the sayings of Jesus.
