The New York Mills Christmas Tree Festival raised $4,475 on behalf of the Santa Anonymous group - $1,000 more than last year. Funds were collected through a silent auction of donated, decorated Christmas trees, a raffle drawing for a 4-H quilt and free will donations. The tree donated by Lund Boats sold for $875 to Eagles Café. Tara Baune won the quilt raffle, which raised $675. On top of the funds raised, four groups donated everything on and under their tree to Santa Anonymous, including toys, books and clothes. Event organizer Dolly Tumberg said the festival was a success in that turnout was high for all events, especially for the Community Christmas Party Saturday night.
