Outstanding Teens to have a send-off March 24

The public is invited to attend a viewing of talent, wardrobe and personal platforms of local Outstanding Teen contestants.

Lauren Anderson, Miss Perham Outstanding Teen, Becca Sorlien-Riewer, Miss Frazee Outstanding Teen, and Hailey Jutz, Miss Red River Valley Outstanding Teen, will be showcasing the four points of Miss America Outstanding Teen’s Crown – service, style, scholarship and success – on Sunday, March 24 at the Frazee Event Center at 2 p.m.

The three contestants are busy preparing themselves for the Miss Minnesota Outstanding Teen competition, to be held April 6 at the Eden Prairie High School Performing Arts Center.

Sorlien-Riewer is the 17-year-old daughter of Matthew and Roxanne Riewer and Marty Sorlien. She is a junior at Frazee High School and has chosen a personal platform titled “The Yellow Ribbon and Beyond.”

Jutz is the 17-year-old daughter of Shantel Juzt and the late Chad Jutz. She is a junior at Frazee High School and has chosen a personal platform of, “Operation Save A Life: The Prevention of Bullying, Depression, and Teen Suicide.”

Anderson is the 15-year-old daughter of Paul and Kimberly Anderson. She is a freshman at Perham High School and has focused her platform on “Mission: Impossible, Possible.”

The three titleholders look forward to celebrating their send-off to state competition with the public.
