Aurora Sauer of Perham was recently awarded a college scholarship by Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions. Sauer graduated from Perham High School with the highest honors and received the Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence Award and the Presidential Award.

Sauer was student council president and was involved in science research, Knowledge Bowl, and the Interact Club. Sauer will begin her first year at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in the fall where she plans to study biochemistry. She is the daughter of Heidi Sauer — a producer partner of Intact — and Matt Sauer.

Through its annual college scholarship program, Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions awarded $3,000 scholarships to 16 students: eight to the children and/or grandchildren of Intact employees, and eight to children and/or grandchildren of the company’s distribution partners. Recipients were selected based on criteria such as academic performance, leadership roles and participation in school and community activities.

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions’ scholarship program is funded by the Intact Charitable Trust.
