No matter their age, everyone can always learn new skills.

For the past few months, Anna Lossande with Jollybird Studio in Detroit Lakes has been coming to Briarwood, a senior assisted living building on the Perham Living campus, to teach residents acrylic painting classes. These classes were offered twice a month, and, now complete, Briarwood seniors have art pieces to show off.

On Monday, Oct. 4, from 5-6 p.m., Briarwood will be hosting an art show to present the paintings to the public at their building at 630 Fifth St. S.W. in Perham. This show includes a 48x48 painting that the residents worked on together, which will replace artwork on the walls of Briarwood.

Briarwood can be reached at 218-347-1865.
