The Fun Run, a 5k run, is coming to Perham. Held by and for Perham's BIO Girls program, this run will take place on Saturday, June 5, at 9 a.m. on the Brave Like Gabe Bike Path.
About 40 girls will be participating in the Fun Run, which is the program's 12-week season finale.
The BIO Girls program is built around three elements: lessons in life skills, mentoring and physical activity. The program uses physical activity to teach accountability, help people manage stress and anxiety, teach how to set goals and help experience success. This program promotes a non-competitive and inclusive environment.
The public is encouraged to come and cheer on the girls during their final run.
