What is Rotary? That's a question that has been posed to anyone who has ever been a Rotarian. And while service above self is the Rotary motto, fellowship and philanthropy are also two words that go hand in hand with any Rotary club.
For the Perham Rotary Club, March proved to be a month where philanthropy ruled.
At the March board meeting, board members approved the following projects to contribute to the betterment of the community of Perham:
$300 for the HOTL carnival, $750 to Kinship, $325 for the Perham Beautification committee and their snowflake light campaign, $500 to Minnesota Special Olympics to help fund training and competition, $2,500 to the Perham Grandstand committee for use in rebuilding, $2,800 to the History Museum for upgrading computers and software for genealogy research and $6,625 to the Perham Boys and Girls Club to fund the move and equipment needs in a new location.
All in all, March donations totaled $13,800.

The Perham Rotary Club is made up of 78 members who are business professionals (working and retired) from the Perham area. Through their fundraising efforts, nearly $50,000 annually is given to organizations whose missions meet the club's charitable giving requirements.
