Traditional Veterans Day programming will not be taking place this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4020 has held a Veterans Day program and veterans lunch.

There will not be a Veterans Day program but there will be a walk-through lunch, Shirly Davidson, from VFW Post 4020, said.

Davidson said the lunch is being put on by United Community Bank for the veterans and their families from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 11, at the In Their Own Words Veterans Museum. She said the food will be ready for the veterans to pick up and take home.

Jim Stoderl said as of Oct. 28 the Dent American Legion does not have any programming in place for Veterans Day this year.
