The camper was filled with smoke when an emergency call was placed at 7:30 a.m. The fire appeared to be inside the wall, behind the refrigerator.

“The youths were not able to stop the fire and called 911,” said sheriff Brian Schlueter.

The camper, a 2002 Fleetwood Prowler LS valued at approximately $12,000, was destroyed in the blaze. The exact cause was unknown but there were no links to suspicious activities.

Responding were the fire department and rescue teams from Henning, along with sheriff’s deputies.
