Eleanor M. Winter, 85, of Perham, died on May 23, 2014, at The Thomas House, Perham. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 29, beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham, with Father Matthew Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Eleanor was born Dec. 1, 1928, in Perham, the daughter of Anton and Martha (Rosenthal) Palubicki. After graduation from high school, Eleanor moved to Chicago and worked for Stouffer's. It was in Chicago that Eleanor met with a former classmate from Perham, Elmer Winter. They were united in marriage on May 30, 1956. They would live in numerous locations within the states while Elmer served both on base and overseas during his 22 year career in the Navy.

Eleanor is survived by her four remaining children, Yvonne (Marcel) Lepage of Fargo, N.D., Mark (Dawn) Winter of Perham, Greg (Colleen) Winter of Braham, Minn., and Jean (Brad) Satter of Dent: grandchildren, Julia and Don Hoffert of Wyndmere, N.D., Brady and Sara Winter of Detroit Lakes, Kari and Justin Flatau of Fergus Falls, Randee and Cris Barstad of Fort Meade, Md., Kayla (fianc Brandon Cook) Satter of Wahpeton, N.D., Scott Lepage of Fargo, Jaimie Winter of Braham Minn., Jenna Winter of Braham and Erin Winter of Perham; great-grandchildren, Eden and Elliot Hoffert, Annabella Barstad, and Reed Winter; and one sister, Theresa (Richard) Omacht of Perham.

Preceding Eleanor in death was her husband, Elmer; her oldest son, Michael; and her sister, Deloris.

Memorials preferred to the Lakeland Hospice of Fergus Falls.
