Funeral mass was held for Rose Marie Guck, 75, of Perham, on May 1, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rush Lake, rural Perham, with Fr. James Bernauer officiating. The pianist was Lina Belar. Honorary pallbearers were Rose's 14 grandchildren. Rose Marie Guck Rose was laid to rest in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Rush Lake.

Rose Marie Jung was born on March 25, 1938 in Perham to Edward Valentine and Clara Marie (Fellerer) Jung. Rose graduated with the Class of 1956 from Perham High School. On June 1, 1957, Rose was united in marriage to James Lambert Guck at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Perham. Their marriage was blessed with five children. Rose co-owned Montgomery Wards in Perham with her husband from 1972 to 1985. She worked for the United Community Bank in Perham until her retirement. She served as the secretary of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rush Lake from 1985 to 2010.

Rose enjoyed playing cards, bingo, listening to and playing music, baking, spending time with her grandkids and wintering in Texas. On April 27, Rose passed away peacefully at her home. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Clara Jung; stepfather, Hubert Post; two infant siblings; and infant daughter, Maria.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Jim of Perham; daughters, Cindy (Wayne) Sieling of Foley and Michele (Mark) Hofland of New York Mills; sons, Steve (Lori) Guck of Perham and Jerry (Jeannie) Guck of New York Mills; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, John (Brenda) Jung of Colorado Springs; sisters, Marge (Len) Johnson of Perham and Betty Holthaus of St. Joseph; many other relatives and a host of friends.
