It started with a simple phone call about six years ago. At that time, I was the Sports Director at a radio station in Grand Rapids, Minn., and I received a job offer to come to the Perham Focus from then editor Marie Johnson. After about a day or two, I decided to make the move to Perham, thinking it would be a good stepping stone inside Forum Communications, with the opportunity to potentially move up in the company.
The Perham Focus would like to recognize veterans from our region in a special Veterans Day section.
The Perham/New York Mills girls tennis team turned the tables on Crookston from their previous matchup and earned a 4-3 victory which sent the Yellowjackets to the Section 8A Championship.
The Perham girls cross country team flipped the script on Hawley and West Central Area during the Heart O’Lakes Conference Championships at Arvig Park on Oct. 7.
