LIVESTOCK FEEDLOT PERMIT
Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Sandhill Dairy, has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Ottertail for a permit to expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The proposed expanded feedlot will be located Section 19, Corliss Township, Ottertail County, Minnesota. The existing facility consists of 586.6 animal units of dairy cattle. The existing facility consists of confinement barns and an open lots with manure stored in bedded packs within the barns, piles in open lots, and with manure stored in a lined earthen manure pit.
The proposed facility will consist of 682 animal units of dairy cattle.
The proposed facility will remain the same with the following exceptions; one barn will be expanded and the open lot will be abandoned. The existing milking parlor will be replaced with milking robots.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
