Art teacher reflects on career

I have had the pleasure of teaching in Perham/Dent for 15 years. I started out at the K-6 grade levels and enjoyed all the thematic art projects that I connected with the core curriculum.

I have had the pleasure of teaching in Perham/Dent for 15 years. I started out at the K-6 grade levels and enjoyed all the thematic art projects that I connected with the core curriculum.

Projects were big and small, from ice castles, tepee in the courtyard, rainforest paper mache birds, tessellations to kindergarten tooth boxes. I taught several classes at Prairie Wind Middle School such as Humanities, Art and Keyboarding.

My Perham teaching career ends at the High School, a casualty of district cuts. Each year I cry with pride and loss when the seniors take that walk of graduation. This year will be a little different as I mourn the departure of all my students.

You have taught me more that you will ever know!

Thank you,
