There will be a Concert on the Grass Sunday, August 22 beginning at 1 p.m., rain or shine, at the Whistle Stop Bed and Breakfast in New York Mills.

Proceeds will benefit the Wadena, Bluffton, and Deer Creek tornado victims.

Jan and Roger Lee, owners of the Whistle Stop, knew they had to do something to help after driving through Wadena a day or two after the tornado.

"It was gut wrenching to think it happened just 10 miles away," Jan said. "If that would have happened in our town, the whole community would have been destroyed. We knew we needed to help our neighbors," said Jan.

Entertainment for the benefit will include Cannon Ball Paul's old time music, Laurie and Bill Ness' blue grass and gospel music, karaoke and a DJ from Wild Nights Entertainment.

There will be food and door prizes and a free will offering will be collected.

If the weather is uncooperative, the benefit will be held at the Finn Creek Museum.
