History writer returns to ITOW

Two-time Minnesota Book Award winner Dave Kenney will return to the ITOW Veterans Museum in Perham on Sunday, April 22 at 3 p.m. to talk about his upcoming book, "The Seventies: Minnesota's Unappreciated Decade."
Kenney is a freelance writer specializing in Minnesota history. His articles on state and regional history have appeared in Minnesota Monthly, Minnesota Medicine, and Minnesota Law and Politics. His books for Minnesota Historical Society Press include: "Northern Lights"; "Minnesota Goes to War"; "Twin Cities Album" and "Twin Cities Picture Show."
Kenney also has chronicled the histories of several significant Minnesota institutions, including Gustavus Adolphus College, the Minneapolis Grain Exchange, the Minnesota Telecom Alliance, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and the Northern Star Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Kenney appeared at the ITOW museum a few years ago. He is known to audiences as an entertaining and interesting speaker.
This event is a collaboration of the Perham Area Public Library and the ITOW Veterans Museum. It is free and open to the public.
