Otter Tail County is accepting nominations for the Outstanding Senior Citizen Award. To nominate a senior citizen you know, fill out the nomination form and explain why you chose this person.
Otter Tail County Public Health said it's best to use specific, detailed and precise examples since this helps the judges. They also said feel free to interview the person you're nominating, as it doesn't need to be a secret.
Those nominating a senior citizen can also speak to organizations where the person they're nominating volunteers, but political and religious organizations only count when they benefit the community.
You can only nominate one person per form. All information given will be kept confidential between judges.
Nominations are due by Wednesday, June 30. The form can be found at ottertailcountymn.us/content-page/resources-for-seniors/ . You can turn it in by dropping it off at the Fergus Falls location at 500 West Fir Avenue, dropping it off at the New York Mills location at 118 North Main Avenue, faxing it to 218-998-8352 or emailing it to mdahl@co.ottertail.mn.us .
