20th annual county fair baby contest winners

The Perham area chapter of Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life had seven babies entered in its 20th annual "Lovin' Life Baby Contest" at the East Otter Tail County Fair this year. All babies were born in 2012.

The Perham area chapter of Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life had seven babies entered in its 20th annual “Lovin’ Life Baby Contest” at the East Otter Tail County Fair this year. All babies were born in 2012. Fairgoers stopped to view the display, which featured the contestant’s photos, pro-life literature, and life-sized fetal modals.  People were also invited to share their thoughts on the booth or prolife issues by writing them down on cards that were then posted. One person wrote, “I am unaware of my birth mother’s circumstances. I was adopted at eight months of age and I thank God she did not choose the alternative!” Family, friends and community came to vote for their favorite babies. The results were as follows: -The 2013 first place baby in the Lovin’ Life Baby Contest is: Elizabeth Louise Sazama, daughter of Casey and Samantha Sazama, of Perham. The family received a check from the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life for $25.
-Jake Lee Sazama, son of Blake and Connie Sazama, of Dilworth, Minn., won second place and received $15.[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_preview","fid":"280092","attributes":{"alt":"","class":"media-image","height":"180","typeof":"foaf:Image","width":"180"}}]] -Third place was awarded to Augustus Clarence Tumberg, son of Brent and Shell Tumberg, New York Mills.
