The Perham Women of FOCUS are excited to announce the new location of their 34th annual Christmas Plus Bazaar. This year's bazaar will be held on Saturday Nov. 6, 2010 at the Perham Area Community Center (PACC).
"We wanted to try something new this year by holding the event all under one roof," said FOCUS member Gina Cavanagh. "The PACC was the perfect fit."
Admission for the bazaar will remain at $2 for adults, and children 12 and under are free of charge. The bazaar will also feature Gobble Up turkey sandwiches, old-fashioned-style hot dogs and homemade bars for lunch. Two concession areas will be available at the PACC for convenience. No childcare will be available this year.
The bazaar features over 100 arts and crafts vendors from the upper Midwest. New vendors are expected this year such as young girl's fashion accessories and knit children's hats and handbags. Many favorites from past bazaars are also scheduled to return, including polar fleece items, Watkins products, hats and mittens, doll clothing, hand crafted jewelry, knitted and quilted items, holiday decorations, and much more.
The Perham Women of FOCUS are a local, nonprofit women's organization whose mission statement includes promoting friendship and goodwill throughout the community. Each year, the bazaar nets over $10,000, with all funds donated directly back into the community. Some of the organizations that have benefited from the Perham Women of FOCUS include Prairie Wind Middle School eighth grade Laurentian trip, Miss Perham/Miss Heart of the Lakes pageants, bike helmets for pre school screening children, Heart of the Lakes school carnival, Relay for Life, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and many more.
