The 2015 Miss Perham and Miss Heart of the Lakes Scholarship Pageant is set for August 14.
Doors open at 6 p.m. At the Perham High School auditorium with a Princess Party for children under the age of 12; admission to the party is included in the purchase of a ticket to the 2015 pageant. Tickets are $5 for ages 10 and under; $10 for ages 11 through adults.
The pageant, sponsored by Perham Women of Focus, begins promptly at 7 p.m. Master of Ceremonies for the evening is Mayor Timothy Meehl. The program will also feature Miss Minnesota 2015, Rachel Latuff, Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen 2015, Rachel Weyandt, and our very own Miss Perham 2014, Hailey Jutz, and Miss Heart of the Lakes 2014, Michelle Stahlecker.
This year boasts record number of contestants competing for Miss Heart of the Lakes' Outstanding Teen, Miss Perham and Miss Heart of the Lakes. The three new queens will then spend the year representing the city of Perham and the greater lakes area.
Each titleholder will also compete for the title of Miss Minnesota and Miss Minnesota Outstanding Teen in June of 2016.

-Annika Kovar of Vergas will be performing a Monologue; her platform is Eat Real, Move More- Creating Generation Healthy.
-Maria Lorenson of Perham will be performing Piano; Her platform is Stem to Success.
-Taylor Wutzke of Frazee will be performing a Jazz Dance Routine; Her platform is The Forgotten Face of Alcoholism: Breaking the Cycle.
-Allison Christenson of Perham will be performing a Monologue; Her Platform is The Humane Society of the United States.
-Libby Schmit of Detroit Lakes will be performing a Jazz Dance; her platform is Healthy Minds, Healthy LIves: Children's Mental Health Awareness.
-Callista Wengel of Perham will be performing a Monologue; Her platform is Worth More than Gold: Preventing Sex Trafficking in Minnesota.
