Former head brewer and co-founder of Disgruntled Brewing in Perham, Brett Doebbeling, is planning a new brewery in the former Coast-to-Coast hardware store in Wadena, according to an article posted by The Growler, a magazine known for featuring craft beer and foods published the news.
The article states Doebbeling confirmed plans to open Drastic Measures Brewing with his wife Ashley in downtown Wadena.
Doebbeling exited the Perham brewery last fall and Peter Waldon, who started Glacial Lakes Brewing in New York Mills in the 1990s, came in to fill the shoes.
Doebbeling commented that the name was the hard part as it took him years to come up with the name "Disgruntled."
"My wife and I decided on 'Drastic Measures' because we've had to take drastic measures to get this new venture going," he said.
Doebbeling told the Pioneer Journal the project was not 100 percent a go as of Wednesday but that an update would be coming soon. If it's a go, he plans on opening in late summer.
