More than 700 people attended the Perham Sportsman's Club's 10th Annual Chili Feed, held at The Cactus on Oct. 26. In a press release to the Focus, organizers deemed the event "an incredible success," and noted that a large number of young people were among this year's crowd.

Proceeds from the event will allow the Sportsman's Club to continue offering outdoor gun and hunting safety opportunities for youth, mentored hunts for youth and disabled veterans, conservation initiatives and more.

There were multiple lucky prize winners throughout the Chili Feed, with more than 40 guns given away, as well as door prizes and a "mystery safe" full of outdoors items worth at least $6,000.

The event was made possible through the support and efforts of club members, sponsors, volunteers and others.

"Thank you to the community and all those that attended our event," the club states in its release. "You have enabled us to maintain our mission and keep on course in bringing safe, fun, and fulfilling programs in outdoor sporting opportunities to our area."
