Body found after deadly fire in Winger, Minn.

WINGER, MINN.—A body was found after a deadly fire in Winger, Minn., on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 8:24 p.m.

Crews responded to a fire at a shop at 18354 460th St. S.E. in rural Winger, according to a news release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Officials found two separate fires when they arrived, one in a shop and one in the residence above the address.

After the fire was put out a body was discovered in the residence.

The body was taken to the University of North Dakota Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. No foul play is suspected, but the investigation is ongoing.
