Perham's Shopko store will close by June 16th, according to bankruptcy court documents filed in Nebraska on March 18.
"This is not the outcome that we had hoped for when we started our restructuring efforts," Shopko CEO Russ Steinhorst said in a statement. "We want to thank all of our teammates for their hard work and dedication during their time at Shopko."
The Wisconsin based retailer has 134 Shopko stores, 176 Shopko Hometown locations, 18 Shopko Pharmacy locations and five Shopko Express stores.
There are over 30 locations across the state, including Perham.
The company announced in January that it had filed for bankruptcy and would close a number of stores across the country. In the filing, Shopko cited excessive debt and competitive pressure as the reason. The Perham store remained open, but closed its pharmacy.
The Perham store deferred all comments to the corporate office.
