Deloris Barnack Kenner was a graduate of Perham High School that went on to become a nurse in Chicago. The closest she ever lived to Perham was in a nursing home in Detroit Lakes where she ultimately passed away in 2015. Although she never had strong connections back to the area, she left her mark by donating over one million dollars back to the Perham community.

"549 Family Foundation was fortunate to make her list of giving, and we are still blown away by her silent generosity," stated 549 Family President Justine Anderson. "We felt this award would help us share and honor Deloris' story of giving, whether it's sharing the gift of financial resources, time, or talents."

The Class of 2019 Commencement is scheduled for Friday, May 24 starting at 7:30 p.m. at Perham High School. All community members and alumni are invited to attend the ceremony. For more information about the Distinguished Alumni Award or 549 Family Foundation, please visit www.549family.com.
