A 20-year-old Underwood resident, Christian Koenen, was injured at 8:40 a.m. June 17 in a traffic accident northwest of Deer Creek. The incident took place near the intersection of Highways 52 and 135.
Sheriff deputies said that Koehen was eastbound on Highway 52 at the time of the accident.
His vehicle left the north side of the highway, hit an approach, went airborne, landed, rolled and came to rest on the driver's side of the vehicle.
"The vehicle was partially submerged in water," said County Sheriff Administrative Lt. Keith Van Dyke. "A passerby assisted the driver out of his vehicle and he was transported by ambulance to Perham Health."
Koenen suffered an arm injury and suffered generalized pain.
